Introducing Royal

I was on Facebook and my friend’s status update said:
If you’re 30 or over, you’re a third way through your life. Better live it up!

Reading that I realized a few things…
1. I’m over 30 now…
2. I am not living it up…
3. and I need to get started.
So, this is my start!

Hi, my names 'Royal' and this blog is to help me break out of my shell
and L- I- V- E- because now I have someone to report to. I have someone
who is going to look forward to my adventures. Someone to hold me
accountable for at least TRYING to have some fun on this rollercoaster
ride called life and that someone is “YOU”…so I thank you in advance
for providing me with a bit more purpose!

My Story:
I really don’t know what the hell to say because I’m a little pissed off.
Let me start by saying, I did everything right: I was a good girl, I made
straight A's in school, I went to church all the time, I listened to my
parents, I graduated from a good college with a degree thenI went to graduate school, I got ANOTHER   degree. I waited until I was good and grown to have sex, I didn't do any hard
drugs along the way...so as I'm sitting here writing this I'm wondering
"Where the HELL is my PRINCE!!!!!"

Somebody, somewhere, at some time told me that if I followed the rules and did the
right things that I would meet my soul mate and have a wonderful life.
Well guess what? They lied like a mug because here I am…beautiful,
smart, independent, fun, sexy, and by my  DOGGONE self!

So, my message to any young woman between the ages of 19 and 27 is
  1. Date like a man
  2. Have SAFE sex when and with whomever you choose
  3. and don’t save anything for later.
Damn, that’s some good advice I wish someone would have told me! Truth is…
there are no guarantees in this life. I know girls who whored all the
way through high school and they have wonderful husbands, homes, and
families. I know men who got drunk every weekend and barely went to
class but they managed to get it together enough to meet someone
wonderful, get married, have kids, and now go to church regularly. I’m
thinking, "dang, he actually turned out to be a good man!" I have friends
who got knocked up in high school, and again in their early twenties
only to meet a good, single, man who wanted to be daddy to both of
their rug rats and be a great husband to them. So, there you have it.
There are no rules at all. And that’s all I have to say!

hey royal....just know this...although im no expert by any means...GOD does not leave us and when we call on him he hears our prays and although he may not come when we want him he always shows up. so...with that said....GOD may have already answered your prayers with your prince charming; however, he may not have been delivered in the package that YOU wanted and YOU overlooked him. if you ask God for a blessing you cant put stipulations on it (e.g., tall, dark and handsome). your blessing may have been delivered in a not so attractive package and you turned him down for the tall, dark and hansome one that was no good. so...with that said...my advice is for you to continue to pray, be patient and be open to your blessing because God is in the blessing business and he will continue to give you exactly what you need. peace and love.

As a single girl I definitely feel your frustration. I was brainwashed the same way and sometimes I want to punch my mom in the face for filling my head with the bull. I could have had some wild times at Freak Nik 93-97 but instead I was being the "good girl." Wait till I have my daughter I'm going to tell her to LIVE IT UP!
